Sustainable, Solid Hardwood.
Specialising in two timbers, Basswood and Paulownia, we have scoured the globe to source the right product. Our shutters are fabricated from solid, sustainably sourced, hardwood thats built to last and in line with sustainability ethics. All with a 15 year warranty.
For bathrooms, we do offer UPVC, a waterproof alternative or also aluminium lockable shutters for that extra layer of security.
All of our timber is 100% sustainably sourced, certified hardwood. Which the full shutter profiles including the frame, slats and panels, are made from. We do not use any MDF or composite in our shutters, due to the inferior nature of these products.
The two types of wood we offer are extremely durable, stable and smooth which allows for a well finished shutter profile. Both solid wood materials have very high levels of fire retardancy, which is essential.
Both our timber shutters are manufactured on our own production line within the same factory in South East Asia.
Each shutter is crafted with a veneered hardwood core, strategically layered in opposing directions and sealed with heat and pressure for enhanced strength.
Both hardwood timbers we utilise are sturdy enough to undergo treatments to prevent warping and swelling, including temperature conditioning to ensure long-lasting durability.
Employing mortise and tenon joinery results in a more robust shutter solution, maintaining strength under stress and movement.
Our shutters receive a protective finish with a base layer, plus 3 layers of paint. The paint is then primed with a cellulose coat, safeguarding against UV rays and preventing discolouration.
